WHAT IS LIVKLEEN?

LivKleen is a site where one can go to get information about living a lifestyle free of toxins. There will be blogs and information about many products or ideas from agriculture and food preparation to cosmetics to house cleaning supplies. It is not only about providing non-toxic products, but also about sharing information- blogs and interviews. For now, the first product being represented is a highly effective new herbicide that uses technology to control weeds instead of toxic chemicals.

IS CONTACT ORGANICS OMRI CERTIFIED?

We are an EPA registered bio herbicide. The gentle technology in our product works best when the oils are perfectly clear. OMRI would require us to “press” the oils, which would result in tiny bits of seed, skin, and pith that oxidize and get in the way of the technical process. Developed by an organic chemist who normally produces liquid vitamin supplements, this product is a "think outside the box" kind of invention that takes care of weeds without causing harm to the environment. In fact, if you forget to use the nozzle we recommend, your results will not be impressive- because Contact is contain harsh oils or chemicals- the fast results are simply our technology kicking in! It’s even possible that Contact Organics is milder to the soil biology than some OMRI products. If only other companies had done the extensive science that we have, we could compare. Our toxicity studies for both mammals and the soil show without a doubt that we are exceedingly mild for you, your pets, and the environment. The shelf life of Contact Organics is over five years. The retired senior USDA scientists and the farm and soil experts on our board fully back our product.

Kathleen Hallal is the mom who led the Irvine, CA movement to adopt an Organics First Policy in Irvine over 9 years ago. She was invited to receive the IPM achievement award granted by the CA EPA along with Irvine’s leaders for their successful program.
